John Scott vs Boston’s Shawn Thornton (1/31/13 at TD Bank Garden)
BEST DAY OF THE YEAR
February 1, 2013- Day after the Game of the Year (see above)
Now it gets interesting. We can’t arrive at a consensus here at TBHQ so we’re turning it over to you. We may have seen the new GOAL OF THE YEAR last night. Which one belongs on top?
A. Ennis from Vanek
B. Vanek from Vanek
C. The defending champion Thomas Vanek vs Flyers’ Ilya Bryzgalov (1/20/13 at First Niagara Center)
STATE YOUR CASE FOR A, B, OR C IN COMMENTS SECTION BELOW.
(The defending champ doesn’t stand a chance but we’re not going to just throw it out until we’ve got its replacement.)
Added 2/2/13– NOTE: This was the ACTUAL defending champ, prior to choice B above, which has become the new champ. This goal really should go up against A for Best Pass of the Year (or even Best Vanek Pass of the Year.)
On today’s podcast, Bob Gaughan and I discuss: the NFL Combine and the Bills’ draft plans the current state of the Sabres’ tank job an incredible secret professional basketball league that Buffalo doesn’t know about
The Bills have coined the new coaching staff as “The Dream Team.” Hmm. That comes across as kinda hokey. Then again, it’s OK to chase dreams, especially considering what we had before – a guy who deemed it necessary to canonize himself in order to get the Bills into the postseason. Dreams are good. Goals […]
On today’s podcast, Bob Gaughan and I discuss: possible free agent QB options for the Bills needs/plans for the Bills in the 2015 NFL Draft the plight of Ted Nolan the sooner-than-it-seems return of MLB and the ridiculous A-Rod/Yankees situation
In an interview on October 9, 2014 on WGR550, Sabres GM Tim Murray used the term “big balls” to describe what he’s looking for in his players. Tim Murray just dropped a “big balls” during his live WGR interview re keeping the puck. Just flat-out calls it like he sees it. — Mike Harrington (@BNHarrington) […]
I recently watched the new All-American movie, 50 Shades of Grey. Based on a book written by British author E.L. James, 50 Shades had housewives and dreamers alike rushing to their local bookstore to purchase it. I was one of those dreamers. Below are some highlights from the movie. Premise of the movie: Anastasia “Ana” […]
B is insane. Not human. Makes Seidenberg look like an idiot, the puts it through Peverly's leg's, letting Seidenberg come back and slide on the ice for a little while before toying with Rask. Unbelievable goal.
Without a doubt, Vanek to Vanek (B). It's the equivalent of anything from an AND1 Mix Tape in b-ball, a flea-flicker in football, the masé shot in pool..He DEMORALIZED Rask & the whole Bruins organization with how dirty that goal was, right on down to the guy selling cotton candy in the upper bowl of the arena. You see where I'm going with this...
@TrendingBuffalo Gotta give it to B. Picking it cleanly from Peverly's glove attempt and making Rask look ridiculous makes this one tought to beat. Honorable mention to the 1-timer off the feed from Hodgson. That was a rocket!
