On Sunday, the Bills beat the Cardinals who have beaten the Patriots who blew out the Bills who beat the Cardinals who have beaten the Patriots who blew out the Bills who beat the Cardinals who have beaten the Patriots who blew out the Bills who…  Sorry, I got stuck in the loop of “information” that is the NFL’s first six weeks.

If the Bills go to the desert and beat a team that was previously 4-1, does it mean anything other than a notch in the win column?

Buffalo is now 3-3, just like everyone else in the AFC East.

There’s one unbeaten team–  the Falcons.  Three of their wins have come against 1-win teams.

Do “quality wins” mean anything?  Do they tell a story?  Is “strength of schedule” even a thing anymore?

Does a win even mean that your team is better than the one that you beat?

My quest to answer these questions leads to the following graphical depiction of every team in the league (sans the 6-0 Falcons) with arrows indicating a victory over an opponent.

Everybody is the best…  and the worst!

POWER RANKINGS (subject to change):

  1. ATLANTA
  2. everyone else

What have we learned?

Don’t spend too much time trying to figure out the league after Week 6.
