The Trending Buffalo revenue stream took a nice upturn over the last week with our new financial plan.  Here are the results of last week’s official picks combined with two more that we made but didn’t publish.

Let’s keep it rolling this weekend.

COLLEGE:

After 2 weeks of the college football season there appears to be no bigger tire fire than that of the Pittsburgh Panthers.  I guess 3 coaches in 4 seasons isn’t real great for the program.  After getting handled at home by Youngstown State and crushed by Cincinnati, I’m betting that Virginia Tech will be able to take care of business too.  Hokies -10.5 in the Steel City.

I believe that I was 2-0 in my other picks last week that I didn’t go with but lost big with Arkansas State.  So the other two I was looking at would’ve been USC -8.5 at Stanford and Mizzou -6 at home against Arizona State.

PRO:

I like the Bills -3 a lot and it’s tough to ignore the Ravens’ new high-powered offense rolling into Philly and GETTING 2 points.  I’ll probably wind up using both Buffalo and Philly but I’ll definitely go with Robert Griffin’s Redskins -3 at St. Louis.  I’ve seen Griffin play twice in person (UB at Baylor two years ago and Skins at Bills in the preseason this year) and he’s got most of what Cam Newton’s got (RG3 can’t match Cam’s size/power combo) but with a better head on his shoulders.  Odds are that there’s a defense out there that will remind us all that he’s a rookie at some point on the schedule, but that defense doesn’t belong to the Rams.
