Nice game last night, eh?

First, the obvious.

 **********

BEST GAME OF THE YEAR

Sabres 7, Bruins 4 (1/31/13 at TD Bank Garden)

**********

BEST FIGHT OF THE YEAR

John Scott vs Boston’s Shawn Thornton (1/31/13 at TD Bank Garden)

**********

BEST DAY OF THE YEAR

February 1, 2013- Day after the Game of the Year (see above)

**********

Now it gets interesting. We can’t arrive at a consensus here at TBHQ so we’re turning it over to you. We may have seen the new GOAL OF THE YEAR last night. Which one belongs on top?

A. Ennis from Vanek

B. Vanek from Vanek

C. The defending champion
Thomas Vanek vs Flyers’ Ilya Bryzgalov (1/20/13 at First Niagara Center)

STATE YOUR CASE FOR A, B, OR C IN COMMENTS SECTION BELOW.

(The defending champ doesn’t stand a chance but we’re not going to just throw it out until we’ve got its replacement.)

**********

Added 2/2/13– NOTE: This was the ACTUAL defending champ, prior to choice B above, which has become the new champ. This goal really should go up against A for Best Pass of the Year (or even Best Vanek Pass of the Year.)

  1. @TrendingBuffalo Gotta give it to B. Picking it cleanly from Peverly’s glove attempt and making Rask look ridiculous makes this one tought to beat.  Honorable mention to the 1-timer off the feed from Hodgson.  That was a rocket!

  2. Without a doubt, Vanek to Vanek (B). It’s the equivalent of anything from an AND1 Mix Tape in b-ball, a flea-flicker in football, the masé shot in pool..He DEMORALIZED Rask & the whole Bruins organization with how dirty that goal was, right on down to the guy selling cotton candy in the upper bowl of the arena. You see where I’m going with this…

  3. Vanek must have been rocking his super negative shake your rump mix tape before last night’s game.  Sick mad skills.  He was definitely Public Enemy # 1 last night.

  4. B is insane. Not human. Makes Seidenberg look like an idiot, the puts it through Peverly’s leg’s, letting Seidenberg come back and slide on the ice for a little while before toying with Rask. Unbelievable goal.

  5. yeah, this isnt even close… i mean, its not even a discussion…. (B – Vanek from Vanek) runs away with it by a mile. It’s the most spectacular goal thta I can remember.

Choice [A] is incredible merely because of Vanek’s Superman impression pass. It was SICK. So maybe that can be PASS OF THE YEAR… haha… but GOAL OF THE YEAR is clearly [B]!!!
